Upcoming Performances

The following 2019 performances are open to the public:

  • At 7pm on Thursday, April 4, 2019, Brent will be delivering a presentation on "Thoreau's Indian Stride" at the Concord Free Public Library. The topic: Thoreau's fascination with all things Native American and what contemporaries may have meant when they described him as walking with an "Indian gait." Free and open to the public.
  • Brent will be appearing as Henry David Thoreau on the evening of May 22 as part of a Road Scholar program on┬áThoreau, Emerson & Transcendentalism. Register with Road Scholar for the multi-day program, which is based in Swanzey, New Hampshire.
  • Brent will be portraying Henry David Thoreau at the Old Manse in Concord on Friday, July 5, as part of a day-long "Free Fun Friday" event. This is a free drop-in event. Henry will be at the Manse early in the day (around 10-1).
  • Brent will be appearing as Henry David Thoreau at 7 pm on July 10, 2019, in an original production by Tammy Rose, Thoreau/Twain: Brothers on the River. This event is part of the Thoreau Society's 2019 Annual Gathering. Visit the Thoreau Society for more information and to register.
  • Brent will be appearing as Henry David Thoreau on July 12, 2019 (Henry's birthday) from 1 pm to 3 pm at the cabin replica at Walden Pond. This is a drop-in event that is free to the public; parking fees may apply.
  • On Wednesday, August 28, Brent will be doing an evening presentation as Henry David Thoreau at the Old Manse in Concord. Admission is $15 ($10 for members of the Trustees for Reservations). The event starts at 7 pm.
  • Brent will be hosting a watermelon party as Henry David Thoreau from 1 pm to 3 pm on September 14, 2019, at the cabin replica at Walden Pond. This is a drop-in event that is free to the public; parking fees may apply.
